to suggest that ptbo mpp jeff leal has been under seige of late may be an understatement. leal never fails to fire of a press note a few days after any gov't announcement and he is always quick to support his boss dalton mcginty,even if it doesn't sitwell with his constituents. anti leal signs have popped up around the city,mainly regarding the local hospital mess. unionistsand left wing activists are taking a real run at leal of late. but where are the conservatives? nary a peep out of the conservative camp in ptbo.no one is offering anything. its as tho conservatives have given up the ghost in ptbo,as far as the province is concerned. maybe they expect federal rep,del mastro to fight the good fight for them. in the mean time,jeff leal is getting a free pass. on that subject the municiple election is just a few months away and while some pretty good battles are shaping up,there is one ward that is rather ho hum.i'm not suggesting that jack doris and or henry clarke be defeated this fall. in monaghan ward,i am suggesting its sad if they get aclaimed to council for another four years. that,my friends,is really a free pass.
